On account of US used car import regulation such as DOT etc, you shuld stduy well, and agent down there will do instead of you. If you never ever import used car in your lift time from overseas, there is one exception for your used car importation possible.But if you have experience in your used car importation before, no exception exist in your case,so the rest method is only parts import only:we must break your used car into pieces, then you must rebuild your imported car which is only one method left, at which extra lalbor fee will be added -break-into-pieces fee, lashing, banning fees in Japan. Do not ask me such detailed US DOT import regulation, but you are supposed to peruse the details all by yourself. Either I do not know the US import duty. With one exception case, not high cost of used cars, because the covering car can be exported into the US with the condition of car itself by roro vessel, not into container.I will let you know exception concept of DOT regulation, so come back after stduy DOT regulation in the US. As I am Japanese living in Japan, I cannot take responsibility if you happen to have troubles in importing in the US. Even if you could imported used car from Japan, importation is quite diferent from DMV registration down there. DMV registration is almost impossible in CA, so you use other method in the US. DMV registration possibility is not big note. It all depend on each DMV stipulation in each state. You may or may not drive your imported car in each ordinalry road. If you are not allowed to drive on the ordinary road, just put dealers car driver's lisence plate, then you can drive such ordinary road with right. Used car with turbo charger is pretty tough to be registered in DMV even if contry-side DMV. I just glanced over US DOT regulations on the surface:I did not read the very much detailed stipulations and regulations yet. DOT egulations are very long sentence, so I do not have time to finish in reading all sentences. As you are Americans, cinch ,isn' it in finsishing reall all sentences. As I did not finish in reading all regulations of DOT, I do not take responsibility at all if something wrong happens. In order to imort used cars from Japan, you, youself must be serious in understanding DOT conception;sometimes you make a call to DOT regulation office, because e-mail communication is not enough in inquiry to them. I wuold like to export used cars and be co-operative to you all the time, but I do not help your without reading DOT regulations and stipulations very much well, reasoning that I do not understand DPT egulations yet. I lean on you your positive reading and understanding such DOT regulations. If you inquire me just like that wihout reading DOT concept, I can not aswer back at all.

I can show you which state is the easier as to DMV registration. Before you pay all contaracted amount--I do not show you which state note. But skyline DMV registration possibility is extremely small. Why you can import used into the US, you must read out EPA and DOT regulations all by youself, otherwise you cannot import used cars. Even if you inquiry us as to EPA DOT regulaltions and stipulations, we do not understand EPA and DOT regulations at all, reasoning that we are Japanese living in Japan.basically we do not know the US law, whatever. But as professional car exporter, I know one thing, so I advise you to import used car into the US. I cannot gurantee you that you can register the car or not, because each state get different rules and stipulations. 800ps skyline GTR is etremely fast can run qurater miles 9.3 seconds. As a condition, engine full tuned is a must, othewise engine will be broken into pices. the meaning of full tuned is mirror polished in the inside of engine, counter blanced job is also must. Racing suspension is also necessary--because of too much speed, skyline cannot stop well with racing performace suspension and brenbo break pads. 600=800ps Nissan skyline is likely to un-stable in idling position. Reb meter work even f you do not push accellations. Big pai Muffler is a must, Intake maifold, catch tank. Strenghened clutch, strengthened valve spring, stregnthened drive shaft. 600ps BNR32 BCNR33 BNR34 no need, strengned stuffs--car work well without damages. 800ps ~~1300cc skyline with air shifter needs full tuned engine. skyline 2.6(G) and bored up capacity usually 2.7(G). 2.7(G) engine is expensive. RB30 engine sometimes we can secure if we are too lucky pilp upper, Advan stuffs--I can supply used parts anytime you like as long as you bought skyline from me. I do not sell used parts to other ordinary buyer. Cross gear is just ready for racing,

Honda car--B18C engine, inegra is also fast car, but we do not have B18C-1 engien, and we have B18C engine which has variable valve adjusting functions. Honda Vtec engne is splendid which is fasater RB20 engien cars with turbo function. But it si slower than RB26DETT. I advise you better import honda vtec cars in the US, I guess right hand honda cars is a bit passable in the US registration, because it does not have turbo function. BOTTEM LINE= Tons of used cars confiscated on US POrts, IF YOU PRUSE TOT EPA REGULATIONS MUCH WELL, YOU MUST NOT IMPORT USED CAR FROM JAPAN. But thee is way for you to import used from japan, because Americans so lazy to real out DOT EPA regulations. if you are lazy, MUST NOT IMPORT USED CARS FROM JAPAN, BUT Serious and earger importer should import used car from Japan.
